Offering my cartilage to the King.
Especially with Poch’s high line. Both him and Vertonghen are slowing and have been caught more this season due to opposition pace.

I think the pace issue with the Dutch lads was evident a few seasons ago, hence the signing of Sanchez.

Liverpool rate Joe Gomez highly and he was first choice prior to his injury. I doubt Liverpool will sign another defender to play ahead of him. Either way Liverpool have a better defense than us

I agree Gomez is a brilliant prospect but they need three top centre backs, it would be a no brainer to add Alderweireld to their stable.

Klopp rotates his back line quite a bit. Gomez sometimes plays at right back, etc, etc.

Does he do that though choice or through trying to find something that works?

If AA was out then Gomez might move across and then Alderweireld would be better coming in than Matip or Lovren.

In my opinion he's been fantastic all season. Great passing ability and maybe slightly slower than a few years back but still a top draw centre half. Sign him up!

What is the maximum salary you would offer him?

If he wanted £250K a week would you pay it?

I'd offer 200k a week, two year deal, with option to extend by one more year.

I think City might go for him as an experience Kompany replacement.

I hope he stays, but that quote doesn't mean anything. "In my head I will play for Spurs next season, unless my agent gets me a move"

But as I said, I hope he stays

That's how I read it also.

We shall certainly see what happens soon enough.

He’s hardly likely to say anything else just a matter of days before the CL Final.

His comments after the last league game didn’t suggest he was staying

“Another brilliant season and great to know there will be guaranteed Champions League football again next year in this great stadium. Having these two with me on the pitch to thank you all for your support was special. The season isn't not over yet!! Let’s finish on a high! #COYS”

In the stadium rather than we

Win and Toby and Eriksen can probably get any deal they want.
