The Right Back Thread

Yeah I'm not sure where the debate is - Chelsea poach players at youth level from all corners and pay more than a premium to do so

I’m talking about english youngsters unless you mean they poach english youngsters from all corners of england?

Just at right back alone in the last couple of years they have brought through lamptey, james and livramento.

That is an astonishing hit rate.

So why can't we do the same? Even of you pay a premium, it would still work out to be cost effective...

If he’s replaced KWP can we just buy him back?:DI never wanted him going as part of the Hojberg deal in the first place….

He’s at his level at soton tbh.

The question is (and this is not limited to right back) is why are chelsea and palace between them bringing through 4 potentially world class right backs in 18 months and we bring through soton level players?

might as well lock this thread now

Rename this the right wing back thread?

Seen credible sources that we'll be after a new right wing back, can't see credible sources to specific players, so probably makes sense with a thread for the general conversation.

Lamptey, Aarons, Livramento, Trippier, Jesus Corona (Porto) have all been mentioned on here. Anyone else?

Fabrizio Romano reporting Trippier to Saudi Sportswashing Machine as a done deal.

Think he would have been alright for us, makes me somewhat positive that we have a good plan for something better in place.
