Brentford second goal should have disallowed though - Brentford player is literally holding Leno's arm down.
They are going to good at the dark arts and get away with it because they are "plucky Brentford" and "it's lovely to have them back".

Bolton, Stoke, Leicester, etc.

Great to have football back, I’m way more excited going in to this season than at any point since the pandemic kicked off. Think it’s because fans are back, the dynamic changes completely.

Great to kick off at the Bees new stadium and fans that are buzzing (sorry but it is the best word) about where their team are and what the might be capable of.

Arsenal have a few good younger players:

White
Saka
Smith-Rowe
Tierney
Partey

...but they look so soft and lacking a structure. Arteta will come under pressure if it looks like they're heading for another finish outside the top 6
Partey is 28, other than that I agree.

Seems like they're getting back to developing very good young players unfortunately. So far the system and rest of the club is nowhere near a level to really make the best of that, long may it last.

Hopefully they were just being sensible.

Yes, he was holding the keeper but the keeper would never have got to the first ball. He was free for the header that went in
Hopefully. A smart keeper would have emphasized the holding - make a move to the ball so it's obvious he's being impeded.

Good for them if true, it's important to succeed.

Thought Brentford looked good, a lot of variety to their play. Press high, drop deep, go long, play along the ground, set pieces. Boot surprised they didn't feed more crosses to Toney given how dominant he was in the air, but not basing their play on crossing is probably a good choice in most games.

Bruno Fernandes is so important to them. Imagine if we'd gone for Fernandes when we were considering him instead of Ndombele? Poch would still have a job and we'd be champions :)

Leeds have learned nothing from last season. Still soooo naive.

No doubt the pundits will still be praising them for their relentless energy and gung ho attititude....

Not title contenders. Fernandes, Shaw and a couple of others are good enough. But Pogba can be as poor as he is amazing. Not consistent. And their squad is staked but not with the same quality as City.

United were passing the ball extremely well. Moving it around with pace. But it is against Leeds. They open things up and commit a lot of men forward, so can make opposition sides look good.
