Need to look at hte bigger picture:

    - 4th place
    - 4th consecutive CL qualification
    - CL final, possibly winners
    - no signings for two transfer windows
    - An incredible stadium finished which massively increases the revenue which we'll make
    - opponents which have massively outspent us for years and years

I think thats a pretty top season, even if it did finish (league-wise) with a whimper

European cup final in 3 weeks, the most important prize we can play for and furthest we’ve ever gone in the competition, along with securing top 4 ahead of our north London rivals, with an injury list no other club in the league experienced.

    Tough crowd doesn’t cover it!

Yes, we’ve had a lot to deal with, but we still got away with one this season, not qualifying for the CL would have been an absolute disaster.

Let’s hope we heed the warning next season and do everything better.

I'd go and spend £150m this summer on Butland, Wan-Bissaka, Gomes, Sessignon, plus new contracts for Eriksen, Toby and Super Jan. 3 new English players, one foreign who is a good premier league player, and if there's cash left over a bit of Digne.

Well, we slow limped into the top 4. Phew.

I'm not even sure limp is the right word, we were limping, then tripped up and the forward motion from the resulting fall just about carried us over the line.

That isn't to discredit the effort from the players, coaching staff and all involved in the club though, good times ahead.

I'd given my neighbour's left leg for Sessegnon at the start of the season, but he has been utterly underwhelming to me. He hasn't even stood out in a horrible side. I don't personally get the thing about Gomes either, but then again I haven't looked particulary hard either. Wan-Bissaka looks like a useful player.

Comes with an excellent song which adds £.3m of value at least.

I think 4th is a par season for the league, even taking the injuries into account. Arsenal, Chelsea and Utd (in particular) have played realy badly for large parts of the season, it'd be a poor show from us to have finished below 2 of those teams. Job done, stadium move and Champions League football next season.

But as we have had this amazing run to the Champions League final, it's been a fantastic season overall. Will hopefully get better yet!

Chelsea getting in the top 4 is the best result for us.

Hopefully they do the job in Jakku.

Can you post an image of our rivals attempting to finish above us as well?

We were awful, but Utd Arsenal and Chelsea were as bad or worse, yet we got to the pinacle of European football in the meantime.

Nope, top four all go straight in. Rule change a couple of years ago.

I thought so - just they said on Soccer Saturday we didn't want to finish third because we'd have to qualify. I thought the rule might have been changed back!! Turns out it was just the Arsenal and Liverpool pundits getting things wrong again!
