Damiao isn't remotely what we need though. We need some creativity and guile in the final third. If he comes in to replace Ade then fine though I'm not sure we will be spending £25m on someone who's only going to sit on the bench and play second fiddle to Soldado
Lamela coming in gives us a 4th wide man and one who is genuinely good. We then need to find a top class player to play off of Soldado as Siggy doesn't look good enough yet.

There was ITK right at the beginning of the summer that said Levy had got ****ed off with Internacional's moving of the goal posts constantly so had decided to leave Damiao until the last day of the window. As soon as I heard Damiao's agents comments about a month ago about turning down Southampton to wait for a move ambitious club and that they were now just waiting for the phone call from Europe I decided there was weight in that ITK.
It's funny as I remember that at the start of the summer a few papers ran with the story that 'Spurs plotting sensational double swoop for Soldado and Damiao to overhaul their strike force'. At the time I thought it was probably ******** but on the basis that we'd never get Soldado. Funny thing is we did so just Damiao to add to make the story accurate

Whatever happens in the window from now on ... the OP got it spot on ... i always wanted to explain what a Bonanza was, or even use the word "Bonanza" but never really could slip it in at the pub or on a date etc ... I mean what could I have said? "Ive got a bonanza of pints for you lads, or Ive got a bonanza load of condoms fancy coming back to my place" ... or even worse, say both things together.

I hope we don't go back for him - we don't need to be spending £25m on a back-up to Soldado. We need to get in a top class wide man (ie Lamela) and a top class player to play off of Soldado
