Pirlo didn’t tackle or much defensively IMO
I actually think he was over rated as some players are
But what I’ll say is he had others doing the “donkey work” for him

Intercepted and took loose balls a lot though. He was defensively good because he was smart.

again I’ve watched him play and I really never saw that
It’s the way a lot of “quarter back” types get credit
I’ve heard the same with Moutinho at Wolves but when they have possession their pretty crap as the position cut out the quarterback player
Pirlo was brilliant but wasn’t IMO any good defensively

Ndombele os a baller, and when he's fit and on it, a great tackler and user of the ball in transition.

He also has a wicked shot, knows where the goal is - we have so many goal threats its ridiculous now!

Was excellent today, passing, protecting the ball and winning it back. All we need now is to get 90 minutes of that level from him.

This for me as well, he was my MOM today and is going to be a big player for us as he progresses.

Even Caragher was singing his praises

Even 70 minutes should be enough, if we manage to hold on to 3-goal leads.

I wonder if we will see hojbjerg, ndombele and lo celso start at burnley town.

Think it would be a mistake to be overly concerned with the opposition and play additional hatchet men like sissoko and or winks.

I think he gets away with a few of his naughtier fouls due to still looking about 16! Alas I don’t think they are tactical, more him getting out manoeuvred or muscled and looking to compensate.

I think mou has told him to be a bit more like lamela when he’s without the ball.

Has been booting the opposition more of late, last night he did some good hacking especially.

Like the snidey small-man Ander Herrera style player i.e. loads of niggly fouls, but with an innocent wide eyed face, saying "who... me???? surely not ref???!!"
