My problem with that goal is that even a brick keeper should be saving it. Great curl on it though, bizarre how late it turned.

I think the bounce before the goal made it difficult for the goalkeeper to judge properly

I think Defoes goal against West Ham encapsulates the improvement he has made to his all round game. It was his strength when receiving that ball on the touchline whilst closely marked that impressed me the most. The explosive shot from just outside the area is something we've seen plenty of times before, but the build up to that is something he has added as of late. A real gem of a goal....
