Siem de Jong

De Jong is a better mover with the ball and a better passer....this is a problem with Sig. When he receives the ball, it kinda gets stuck under his feet and he appears clumsy. Something he needs to improve on

I see that at times, and i still have no idea why, he was very silky at Swansea in that respect.

Fischer would be great, but would he hinder Townsends development? I REALLY want to see Townsend flourish this season.

Which side does Townsend prefer to play on?

We're all talking about attacking buys. I bet you the first buy we'll make will be a boring left back lol

If we was to bring Fischer in, I'd prefer Fischer on the left, Townsend on the right.. we'd need back up for both wings so that'd be ideal considering Townsend would still be our only option.

agree about him at Swansea, he was better at this. Now he seems rushed when he receives the ball. Might be down to training and different style at Spurs. Swansea were a lot more patient, didnt rush anything, and took care with their passing and how they circulated the ball. Its been different at Spurs and maybe he has struggled to adjust

Last Summer it was reported that Levy had gone over to discuss a player from Ajax in addition to Vertonghen. Most thought Eriksen but De Jong was always in the background. Not sure we need either now with Dembele showing his quality and Holtby, given the pre season period, will become the player he was at Shalke. Its a shame we were forced into the premature aquisition of Holtby as I don't think we have seen yey what he can do.

Hang on you can't suddenly compare him to Messi etc. Those targets are completely unrealistic. de Jong and Eriksen on the other hand are gettable. Who in our current squad is better in midfield/attack? Only really Bale. So what makes them unneeded? You can't start spouting saying he's no Messi, he's no Ronaldo. Jeez, who else do you expect us to sign?

Who compared him with them. I said they were "great" players and that Eriksen was just "good". Too many people use the word great about players who are merely above average to good, greatness is found in very few but the elite players.

As for saying we should sign Messi or Ronaldo I do believe that was nowhere in my post.
