How big is shuffleboarding in the UK?

I had never heard of it until I visited a place called TILT in Oslo back in February. Got hooked instantly and spent hours playing. Eventually we were told to leave because there was a time limit and others were waiting for tables.

There aren't any tables where I live, so I started dabbling with the idea of building one myself. Those plans are now safely placed on hold, along with my home brewing plans.

The local bowling hall is said to be purchasing two tables, so not long before I can get my slide on again!

So, do you slide? Puck throwing? Stone chucking? What do you call it?

Played it on a cruise, actually round your way when we went to see the Northern Lights. Also that game where you through a horseshoe onto a metal pole.

We call it shuffleboard in the UK as well. If I were thinking about opening a pub I would look to put both these games in it. I also am partial to bar billards, I realise I am probably getting older. Though all of these should be accompanied by copious amounts of alcohol.

Play it in shanghai, brilliant pub game. Very long board so you need a bit of room.

Ah, horseshoe throwing. We have a nifty name for it: throw horseshoe. There's a contest here each March, which I have never entered. Usually a farmer wins.

When I went on a cruise we also played this game where you threw your pole into a camel toe.
