Sergio Reguilon

Zidane hates him
When he came through and he was in the reserves he got him sent down to the third division
Or did he just think that 3rd div men's football would be infinitely more useful in the player developing than reserve football? (and the player's development perhaps proving him right?)

No
As the reserve team play a level above that and he was in that team until he took over
Hey, that’s what’s been reported but happy to argue about it

Ah yes.... they are allowed to have their reserve teams play in the actual leagues out there aren't they?
Yep
And it was reported That when united wanted to sign him, Zidane didn’t like him (not he didn’t rate him)... odd but managers have their favourites
He dropped him down a division for 2 years and he only came back to go on loan again
He had played 40 odd reserve games before Zidane took over IIRC

I read something about him burning his bridges with Madrid but not what, any ideas?

Mainly rumors about Zidane not wanting him, preferring Mendy, Marcelo and a couple of cantera players over him. He himself has always been pretty clear that he wants to be a Real player - it's his long-term ambition, and it's why he himself was hesitant to move without some sort of buyback clause for Real to exercise.

What Zidane thinks probably won't matter in a couple of seasons

Good stuff.

Wonder what this means for Sess/Davies?

Think Davies will still have a role to play like when Rose was on form. Sess will get used as a forward, but if the Bale deal happens too you'd think his opportunities will be limited.
