Getting his wages off the wage bill is actually more important as he was rumoured to be our biggest earner after Bale and Ade.

I think the point is that if Capoue earns significantly less than Parker (seems likely) then probably within 1-3 years depending on the numbers then selling Parker and buying Capoue is cheaper than just keeping Parker would have been despite Parker only bringing in half or less in a transfer fee of what we signed Capoue for.
