Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Constantly printing money instead of making savings, increasing taxes in a low growth environment, not using cheap Russian oil and gas, inflated public sector, failure to compete internationally through tax incentives, general fiscal incompetence.

The list goes on.

Quality idea to shut down the world in some weird communist experiment. So glad there was no down side to it, wish people warned about the downside….

10 years of austerity.

And yet people are dying on waiting lists and it takes far too many months to get a simple passport application processed, to name but two things. Many things that have been privatised (eg the railways) are not fit for purpose.

Agreed.
Then put the failing health and passport services in the hands of efficient private sector businesses.

He and his wife pay all the tax they're legally obliged to.

End of story as far as I'm concerned.

People bang on about Gordon Brown selling gold which years later was worth about £6b more. Seems Rishi has cost the UK 11b by not fixing interest on national debt. Staggering. On my mortgage and most others, it was clear interest rates wouldn’t go much lower but could rise, so people insured against rising rates by paying a bit more for a fixed rate. Not Sunak it transpires.

I bet he’s not as careless with he and his wife’s hundreds of millions.

Yet again an internal Tory battle dragging the country to brick, vandalizing everything this country is supposed to stand for and they say they're the patriots, tossers!!

Ain’t that the same for all the parties
Too much infighting and actually no focus on their parties agendas

Gordon Brown screwed up badly as has Sunak.

Better we Compare both these fudgewits to steady eddies like John Major and Alastair Darling. Boring bastards revelling in the tedious business of looking after the purse strings.

Why the fudge would the UK leave the ECHR?

edit: Ah, is it that they stopped the Rwanda gulag trip?

cue the vulures blaming the EU...

"A deliberate breach, or even an intention to do so, would be to suspend the provisions of the code to suit a political end.

"This would make a mockery not only of respect for the code but licence the suspension of its provisions in governing the conduct of Her Majesty's ministers."

Cons + 5.

From 2019 Office of National Statistics:
  • However, of the G7 group of large, developed economies, UK healthcare spending per person was the second-lowest, with the highest spenders being France (£3,737), Germany (£4,432) and the United States (£7,736).

  • As a percentage of GDP, UK healthcare spending fell from 9.8% in 2013 to 9.6% in 2017, while healthcare spending as a percentage of GDP rose for four of the remaining six G7 countries.
