It's a good one this, Barney is a great guest. Really funny and has lots of interesting things to say about football,the match and Villa.
 
Another great episode everyone, and definitely added another dimension with a fan of the opposition commenting. Obviously not realistic to do for every match, but definitely one worth persevering with now and again. Although I have a feeling Barney never would have been invited on had Steff known he was going to respond saying he actually likes Mourinho:D;)...

i definitely like an alternative view a rival fan gives. I am going to contradict myself though as i listened to a pod where Tim Lovejoy was giving a Chelsea point of view and i had to switch off. Probably because he is a cod piece, but finding a well rounded opposition fan will be a challenge

He's a plastic. A Swindon fan who switched to Chelsea when they started doing well. I had to cut me ranting about him on the chat about football TV programmes a couple of weeks ago.

Thats is wonderful.

He's permeated the fabric of some things for me though annoyingly. Ossie tweeted about Cruyff earlier, I believe it's the anniversary of his death (my Spanish is rusty) and my second Cruyff thought was, Lovejoy's favourite.

Maybe he is still influencing the game after all.
 
I'm now not sure whether I actually read that book, or have just read that WSC article so many times it feels like I have.
 
Thanks guys, another good pod. Be sure to let everyone make their point and have their full say for 30 seconds rather than 10 seconds. sometimes it felt like people were being interrupted and cut off in mid flow, just to make a weak joke or say "that's an interesting point" or whatever. I would rather hear the point they were building towards.

Some of that is in the edit @Bullet. The record was 90 minutes long and we have to lose a fair bit to make it a reasonable length.

If you haven't listened to the podcast before, this is a really good one to come in on. Barney has some great stories and is a really entertaining guest.
