Enjoyed this one, good banter all things considered - appreciate you making a conscious effort to not be all doom and gloom. The shutting down of Milo was funny:D

Regarding the Doherty selection, I think it was more the simple fact Aurier had just come back from injury and played Thursday so asking him to play again in NLD less than 3 days later was too much to ask.

As for the Lamela contract I’d definitely give him a new one, he apparently has one of the lowest wages out of the senior players and dont have an issue with extending his contract for a couoke of years...

This week's pod is the perfect warm up for tonight's game. Lots of discussion about the first game and what approach we should take tonight.

We normally come up with them afterwards. Something normally jumps out during the record or edit.

Also, you should title the thread PODCAST : <insert name> as some forum members don't realise you make these!

Steff I don’t think anyone could argue with the latest podcast being downbeat, especially if coming after the Villa game! A lot of our players will be knackered, and mentally low after that performance and being knocked out. You would hope for a reaction but I don’t see it in these players.....

We'll say it how we see it but we've taken a decision that we're not going to be a shouty, venting pod. We'll spend half an hour on this week's games and then move onto something else.

We've got a really good pod planned for this weekend. So even if the football continues to be brick, we've got some interesting things to talk about.

That's good to know, i was listening to lwos a couple of weeks ago and the raging just made me stop listening, it's tiring... i like the way you are all so measured in your responses, but right now, a couple of days on, i'm still fuming ! LOL

I just wonder how jose will keep going with this bunch, they have all been found out.

We're fuming too but I don't think that fuming makes for interesting listening or at least not for more than five minutes.

We write the show running order so that we don't dwell on stuff like that and try to move onto subjects that we think are more interesting.

We will definitely be covering Mourinho tomorrow and the fall out from Thursday. We've changed our plans a bit to do that.

I think that he's gone. The only question is whether Levy does it during the international window or at the end of the season.
