Nick Powell was supposed to be the next big thing? Could be worth a punt.

Can't see much else worth looking at..

Steven Fletcher, Danny Graham, Victor Anichebe? Striker problems solved!

Sessegnon might be worth a punt, say for one of the promoted sides. Decent on his day.

Premier League clubs from the 2016/17 season have submitted the lists of players they will be keeping in their squads, and the ones they will be releasing.

Premier League rules require all clubs to submit their retained and released lists to the Premier League by the third Saturday in May, unless the circumstances set out in Rule U.33 apply.

Please note that players signified as a "free transfer" or released by a club on the expiry of their contract on 30 June 2017, could still remain there next season and so this list should not be seen as definitive for players leaving their club.

The information below is correct as of 29 May. A player's status may have changed since that date.

I think it was because we had few available options. Omomah at the U 20 World Cup and players on loan could not be registered in time to play.

    Ottawa, actually.
Might have been good for the player, too - as @Glenda's Legs pointed out, Onomah was away so we didn't have many choices, but we also gave young Lesniak some competitive minutes for Tottenham Hotspur, in the English top flight. And we managed to set it up in a way that enabled him to get an assist as well. Both of those will help with his chances of finding a good club. And both will leave him and his family with some good memories, even if he didn't quite make it with us in the end.

Little things like that count. Not just to the player, but to our other youth-team players as well. Train hard, work hard, and even if you don't end up making it at the very top, we'll give you a shot, a good foundation for a respectable career elsewhere and a place in our history, however small. We have an obligation to our youngsters to offer them that much - and I like that Lesniak was given minutes in the end, even if he's now been released.
