Paulo Gazzaniga

Running around like a man on a highway.
This made me smile:
Messi did it anyway, hitting the ball with just enough fade to glide through the narrow target area between Philippe Coutinho and Kieran Trippier as they ran back. Trippier was almost turned inside out, wrenching his neck round, corkscrewing himself into the turf. Hugo Lloris saw it too late, rushing out in a panic, arms waggling at his sides, like a man chasing chickens across a motorway intersection

I have quite often defended Lloris for rushing out unsuccessfully in the past. Decision making won't be perfect. Be brave, win most, lose some, positive net result.

Last night was a dreadful mistake. He was nowhere near getting to the ball for the opener. That's not acceptable.

That being said he's the obvious and clear first choice.

I think he came out expecting Trippier to head it back to him.

I'm not sure if Pochettino will put up with too many more brain farts from Loris.
Especially if PSG put up an oil well or two for his services.

There was mistakes a plenty there tonight for the first goal, son escorting Messi into space to play a pass, tripps position when the pass came and Hugo misjudged it.
It's wasn't his finest night but let's not go overboard on the critism.

Fair points and i agree on most of them, however the rush from goal is something you would expect from a Sunday lge player and he deserve the criticism for that.

As for dropping him for the next game ( as some are saying)i would disagree with that, he should play and hope that he gets over it.

He’s on a yellow from Poch imho

Not sure he is?

He’s made plenty of big game blunders in the past and never been close to being dropped.

I don’t think Gazza has done enough to over take him - he’s done what he’s had to do well, but there was nothing of great note.

I think Poch will be keeping a eye on how he performs, Gazza has done well since he came into the side but Lloris is still our number 1 and i am sure Poch sees it that way at the moment.
After reminded Gazza to keep training well.
That cements the no2 spot and keepers know things can change in an instant.
