On the late goals I think there's some reason for concern. If that keeps going throughout the season it will obviously make it more difficult to achieve our aims.

However it's worth remembering that as stats are broken down like that you need a bigger sample size to get meaningful numbers. If we're looking at the last 10 minutes of games we're looking at only 130 minutes of football. Even if we're including added time we're probably only looking at around our less than 180 minutes of football, or two games worth.

xG from the last 10 minutes of games might paint a slightly better picture, but will still be limited.

I'm not sure there's a reason to believe that this trend of conceding late goals will continue.

Unfortunately not; it would be interesting to analyse. As mentioned Xg can be useful but it is fundamentally flawed as a definite means of assessing a match.

The way that we are set up to play throws a lot of the metrics and usual analysis tools and really forces an analyst to apply some less tangible factors. It is why the debate over whether 'the better team' won this match or not as the two had such fundamentally different ways of setting up - though this wasn't just a 'park the bus' and hope for the best sort of night (as it had been when we played Liverpool and Emirates Marketing Project last winter) - there was a genuine plan in place to win the game.

Ultimately it doesn't matter who 'deserves' to win the game of course.
 
Really annoyed with this defeat ! The way we conceded their winning goal so late in the match make it hard to accept. This is the 5th time we have conceded a late goal in the league this season. Surely Mourinho and the players are doing something wrong to concede so many late goals.

I think Mourinho has to take his fair share of the blame for this defeat. Not sure why he had to bring the out-of-form Alli late in the match. Until then we looked solid despite being under pressure. But replacing Son with Alli unsettled us. We should have bring on Ndombele or Rodon to help us defend.

Credit to Son for the goals but we also wasted a few other chances. Kane and Bergwijn should have done better with their chances. Bergwijn should have scored or passed to Son or Moura for the chance he wasted in the second half.

So, we have dropped from top of the league with this defeat. Well, at least we have been top of the league for 4 consecutive weeks which is the longest we have been top of the league in the PL era.
