** OMT Tottenham Hotspur V Liverpool **

Our only chance of getting anything from this game was to stifle midfield, two banks, Sandro & Dembele in midfield, strong backs to the wall energy. I would have had hope but as soon as i saw the line up i knew Tim had ****ed it up again. How can he blame anyone else but himself? Just as our injury list is clearing up and we can put out a half decent side, Timmeh picks a makeshift team as though picking Sig and Bentaleb in midfield was our only option. Absolutely unbelievable line up from Sherwood totally clueless. Its not Sig and Bentaleb's fault they're not goin to stem the constant tide of Liverpool attacks and offer our defence any protection and our defence are clueless. Are there two more woeful defenders than Kaboul and Vertonghen? Dont get me started on the fullbacks

If Sandro andDembele were fully fit, I would agree with you. Dembele was never at the races when he came on and I suspect Sandro is injured as well.

You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. We have too many sows ears.

:ross:

Please people remember what GB is saying now. I guarantee, if LVG comes in and doesn't produce, he'll be saying something completely different.

I will - if this happens, first need to see who stays and who goes. We'll have to keep most of the English players to fulfill quota, shame they are at best squad players, apart from probably Walker as we haven't got anyone better there. At the moment.

:ross: Considering the way we're playing, we'll struggle to beat anyone in PL.

Well that's bollox, we've beaten teams outside of the top 4. Apart from wet spam ... oh look who's the penultimate game ! Hope we aren't in the hunt for anything by then ...

Personally i feel Sherwood and AVB are as bad as each other (In different ways).

Our squad is a joke tbf. The bottle job ****s literally give goals away every week....disgusting bunch of cretins.

You might be right. My eyes tell me that they are different though. And there was no advantage in replacing Tim with AVB

The thing is I was as most were, expecting a tonking filled with defensive lapses and poor application from our players as we've seen it so many times this season and it happened.

I cant explain the amount of poor decisions by our players. The first goal today Kaboul's positioning was shocking, the second goal poor pass by Dawson but again Kaboul's positioning is poor. Rose in the second half nearly cost us a goal when he tired to, "I dont know what he was trying to do when I think about it" Saurez almost got in.

Every game I'm waiting for us to mess up and give goals away. I dont know if thats down to management, pressure, nerves or the players just being ****

i thought anyone would be better than avb, we were that bad. but when i thought 'anyone' i was still equating that to a professional football manager. it seems levy really did just appoint anyone. sherwoods credentials make him just a random bloke really. and whats worse, is he's a random bloke hell bent, not on spurs winning, but waging one of the most singular publicity campaigns since pele started advertising viagra and turning up to the isle of wight u-12's players player of the year awards.

wtf does the cuunt sit in the stands? we all know why - so the camera will focus more on him.

Levy outwitted us all by appointing a manager with no experience and qualifications. A plan that backfired badly I might add. It's clear by now that Sherwood depends on the players more than the players depend on him

I think the players will revolt and it will lead to the end of Sherwood's plans

Disgusting lack of fight from our nowhere men today. You could see it in the tunnel before the game, though. The Liverpool players all looked up for it, focused, raring to get out on the field of play; our sorry lot looked like they were waiting for fuсking kebabs. Vertonghen especially guilty; wanted a good fuсking kick in the аrsе.

Hell no, people waiting for kebabs are looking forward to something. And I could do with a kebab right now from that kebab shop on Haverstock Hill near Chalk Farm tube station.

Rogers has done well so far but this is ridiculous, they are genuinely discussing whether Rogers is a new Bill shankley on 5live.
Please don't let them win the league, PLEASE!!

I just watched the goals again (didn't watch the second half as I went out for a delicious omelette with the family), and each and every one involved us being ****e and them taking full advantage.

Goal one: Ball given away. Eriksen doesn't stop Jonson, Verts doesn't knock it for a corner, Kaboul OG.

Goal two: Sloppy pass from Naughton, terrible "touch" from Dawson, Kaboul out-muscled by Suarez, great finish.

Goal three: Flanangan not under pressure, Coutinho not under pressure, great finish.

Goal four: Scored from a cross from a free kick.

Disgraceful.

City and Chelsea the next visitors at Anfield. If the dippers pull this off they might as well start playing the lotto.

I know nobody is interested in a defence of Sherwood, but none of those are down to tactics, selection or formation.

Also, we had more shots then them 15 to 11.

They had 5 shots on target, and scored 4 goals.

It's just this hideous season - everything imaginable just goes wrong over and over and over again.

I think goal number one was down to tactics/formation as Eriksen is not the player you want on the left side of midfield when you are facing Johnson and Sterling (especially with Rose as the full back).

We will never know the exact reason that decent players play as if they don't care about winning - AVB/Sherwood/Levy - and in true Spurs fashion everything that can go wrong does go wrong.

But even if that's true there were still THREE other defensive errors with goal 1:

- Rose stood off Sterling before he passed it
- Verts didn't clear at the near post
- Kaboul put it in

The formation should have had enough to it that Eriksen not perfectly tracking back shouldn't have mattered.

Hmmn, when you pick a midfield which specialises in backing off the opposition and wouldn't know a tackle if they fell over one, then yes it IS down to selection.

That is true, no doubt. However, I don't understand playing against Liverpool with Eriksen in that position. You need someone fast who knows how to track back and defend with the left back.

Well we better hope this LVG thing is going to happen. But what if he goes somewhere else in the summer? What do we do then?

I don't trust the people who run this club to make the correct managerial appointment. Not after the AVB/Sherwood debacle not to mention Santini Ramos etc.

Our squad is rotten make no doubt. The attitude of a lot of them is awful. Woefully unbalanced and the defence ain't up to it. We are heading the same way as Villa or worse.

It's vital the right decisions are made this summer.

In Levy I don't trust.
