We can move in to the champions league places, “IF” we manage to beat Huddersfield at home today apparently. According to the completely impartial geniuses at Sky Sports!

Are they working under the assumption that United will win the CL and whoever finishes fifth out of Arsenal or Chelsea will win the EL, meaning only the top three get CL?

Been saying this for years. 70k a week and they cant play 3 games in 8 days. Should pack in if they cant do it

Exhaustion and fatigue can and will occur in a human body, regardless of how much you pay said human body to withstand such exhaustion and fatigue. Hence, it is of course possible to play a game every other day, whilst keeping up the same level of performance across the games is not.

Interesting selection. Should be good enough to win but attitude needs to be right.

Can see why Poch has gone this way.

George Marsh on the bench. Not heard a lot about him. Is he any good?
Not ultimately quite good enough to make it at Spurs apparently.
Would expect Amos to be ahead. Not sure if TOB is still injured or not though, as he certainly was ahead at some point.

The team is very 'different'.
Pochettino obviously thinks Huddersfield are hopeless.
Back 3 always worries me. As does Eriksen deep - if that’s what it is.

However, Huddersfield are hopeless. So that should help.

It's not that they can't, it's just that you will perform on a slightly lower energy level. Take the ski world championship as an example. They race every other day during the championship. None of the top 10 in the first and event managed to be top 10 in the 2nd event two days later. All of the top 10 in the 2nd event, had rested for the 1st event.
It's not rocket science.
You can do it for some periods, but it makes sense to get a weeks rest now and then.

And skiing athletes are in WAY better physical condition than any footballer.

Not so assured as you, but no shock there.;)

I would have been talking to 'powers that be' to get the game called off till next season due to insufficient players. :D
