Even a poor player can look good on paper

Lovely stats. Like the stat that we never won a game when Bale played, which obviously proved he was useless, not. If your happy with him I'm pleased for you, but for me he's reached the status of the kid who tries but isn't any good but he must be praised before he starts crying.

We already know Llorente takes a handful of games to look anything. Give him the time.

Agree with this. He was everywhere today. Again. One moment he’s forging forward with the ball, next he’s mopping up in defence. His stamina levels must be off the scale.
If it weren’t for Son he’d be POTY I reckon.

That’s it, isn’t it? Goal-hanging against bus-parkers in the hope of a header shouldn't be praised as hold-up play.

He's getting a limited amount of minutes, but he has, without a shadow of doubt, contributed when given a game! There's no denying that, no matter how poor you think he is. He doesn't play like Kane, or Son or Moura, but doesn't mean he's brick!
Not his best game today, but he did some good stuff, with good hold up play, had a crucial assist, and was inches away from scoring goal of the season.
Not bad for a useless player....

I thought he played well, decent touches, caused problems for their back line and created space for others. Opinions opinions

    Tough crowd!

Did a great job holding / shielding the ball, especially in helping set up Wanyama's opener.

As for 'not a goal threat' - come ON! Came close to scoring with a decent volley on the turn that grazed the bar. Not too far away with a couple of other attempts either. If that isn't threatening the goal I don't know what is.

Yes it was 'only' Huddersfield but he more than played his part today.

He’s young. Time is on his side. Definitely one for the future. Just needs to gain some more experience.

Apart from the three chances that he had that were very close to being converted

Came close when he should have scored... he changed feet twice
Hit the bar with some decent skill

And for Wanyamas goal he didn’t even touch it did he?

It’s Not goal hanging that I have an issue with, it’s the lack of movement

We played a united team by premier league standards and he still had loads of chances he didn’t take

I was in the south stand and it looked like he shielded a player but didnt rough the ball
Looked like he tried but got caught in his back foot
