*** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Everton - OMT ***

Well, at least St Albans are on the telebox later.

They used to show all the home games on a random cable channel in the 90s; a crappy camera on the half way and a random guy doing "commentary".
I'm sure the BBC will fudge it up with some sort of "professional broadcast"

Dropped 2 on Arsenal, gained 1 on United. If Liverpool do the business we might 4pts off 4th, but with our sh#t GD, call it 5

If Conte is going to stick with 343 PEH needs to be dropped for someone that can pass the ball.
I lost count of the amount of times he misplaced passes today. Skipp is already the better player between the two and stays in there.

We were the better side.

  • Our passing
  • The pace of our passing. Been a bugbear for years. We passed the ball with pace and around the pitch with speed.
  • We created openings, but not enough.
  • A clean sheet, and apart from a poke wide we didn't really give them any other openings.

  • If you mark Son and Kane in the box, we don't have others able to score goals. Reggie and Royal today had the clearest openings
  • We're a bit nervous. The pass made by Kane to put Son through on goal was overthought and overhit.

0-0. FT. A poor game. Got chaotic and fiesta at the end. Our attacking players still off their games. Kane is a passenger and doesn't lead the line at all well. Son and Lucas also both poor today.
We don't create a platform for them to succeed. We want them to basically create the chances for themselves, which they are capable of but it's not an efficient way of doing things. Imagine Son or Kane in the Emirates Marketing Project side. Balls would be going into dangerous spaces for them to latch on to. With us it's the opposite, they are the ones who have to make it dangerous.

Our passing in the final third was far from a positive. Constantly wasted good positions when we got near Evertons box with poor passing and decision making

That was f***ing vile, summed up by that final
corner by Lo Celso.

Since Eriksen left we had a bit of joy when playing with a very low block and breaking through Kane and Son, but when attempting to do anything on the front foot we have close to nothing to offer.

Given the same 11 started on Thurs night, and that game wasnt exactly a stroll, I thought the performance today was acceptable/good

Its nice to see a clearer shape compared to under Nuno and our movement seems to have improved

Creativity is severely lacking so I think conte needs to bring at least one of GLC or Ndombele in for one of the two DMs and/or Moura

Obviously thinking further forward, we need a creative attacker and two CBs

We lack a lot of quality in our passing, and get a bit all over the place when we're under pressure, but there are positives. We're a lot more direct and we're clearly trying things for the first time in ages. The players just need to get whipped into shape and drilled in the system, and we'll look better.

Royal was our best man today I thought. Looks a good buy.
