There's a lot to be said for a player who puts in a 7/10 every week, regardless of the opposition, with the footballing intelligence to play in a variety of positions and to a variety of tactical instructions. I'll bet that the likes of Salah and Van Dijk love playing with him.

All the best teams need/have a player who does just that, Skippy could be ours.
 
Curses! Skipp has just come off with what looks like an upper thigh muscle injury in the England U21 game against Kosovo. By the way he was wincing in pain as he came off it doesn't look good.

What was noticeable was when we got pegged back to 2-2, he somewhat lost that ambition in lieu of safety and perhaps a dash of fear. It was noticeable. I hope he can continue to be fearless as it helps everything.

The team retreated so it’s possible he saw less options
But I really liked the fact he would try those longer passes. That must be right up Nuno street

I think that's right, and it is key we don't. In mitigation I think there was a Traore fear factor, albeit he wasn't especially a factor in the end.
