Forgot that The Wire Had been re-released in HD and widescreen, might’ve to give it a rewatch to see how it compares to the 4:3 standard definition version I saw back when Martin Jol was still Spurs manager.

The HD side of it isn't an issue.

There are some shots where you can see it was filmed for 4:3 which detracts a little.

I've nearly finished the first season. It is funny and tragically sad in a perfect tonal balance. Brilliantly written, shot, edited, and scored. Spectacular. In these awful and dark times I at least have a decent amount of episodes to watch to stave off the dark clouds of depression.

Just started working my way thru OJ Simpson Made in America.

Remember people saying it was decent. It's on the iPlayer currently under Storyville.

Watched Chernobyl again this week, so great and dark. Harris is so good in it, stunning performance.

What I love and maybe said before is that it works better with them not trying with Russian accents

Really enjoying Mayans MC season 2 on BBC iPlayer. It is like a really well written version of Sons of Anarchy with Mexicans

About 5 episodes in to Succession, definitely well above average, wide range of characters.

Its an HBO thing (not new)

    Anyone else watched it?

Why are Amazon charging £21 to watch season one of Succession when they are also selling the Blu Ray for £17 and the DVD for £12? I might just wait for it to show up on Netflix.

As an opening season I think it's the best I've ever seen. I can't get over how good it was. Every single character was perfectly done. And the ending was perfect. I've heard they have started filming season 2 again after they paused due to Corona. Very excited.
