Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Always admired G³'s ability to fish for birthday salutations. Every year, absolutely shameless.

So... Happy Birthday! Hope there was lashings of custard for tea.

Did you see Cowlin loitering about?
Haha you know my narcissistic personality too well! Thank you though its very kind of you. Until next year sir.

I didn't see him unfortunately but did feel a bit like a celebrity walking around where he had stepped pretending to be him waving at the workers.

What a busybody :) Could he do a Glory Glory quiz for us, with questions about Posters as well as Spurs? Who was Mido Man Lover? Is GutterBoy real? If Chris needs to keep his world record and publish some more quizzes we are here for a fellow yid.

I like cowlin, and I understand selling yourself is part of the freelance trade, but knowing he has most likely written all this himself makes me cringe a little. But just a little. He's a likeable guy. :)

Went to the shop and spoke at length to the area manager of spurs, and he's a lovely chap. He said we need 5 games at the lane otherwise the league won't let us play there. Palace and Brighton might be moved but would still be 5 which are left. It looks likely but if one of the last 5 are at Wembley then the rest will be.

Your ITK has made the mainstream!

As I said before......boring c.unt.

So Pochettino says that it will be 'tough' to play in the new stadium this season...is he trying to dampen our expectations before the BIG SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT that we will play Palace if they get knocked out of FA Cup?

Or is he being the club 'PR' and letting us know the likely reality now?

After all, he did say back in the autumn something to the effect of 'Daniel Levy assures me we will be in by christmas' so perhaps he might be wrong now and is just being a negative nancy?

I don’t see us downplaying things for a big reveal, I can’t see it happening this season now, even if we continue to deliver the delays in drabs to keep the hope there for supporter morale.

Would love to be wrong obviously.

My immediate thought was "Lucky Fvcker!". Where can I get a job where I can toss it off 24/7 get paid for it AND make money out of watching Spurs?*

*I don't have any problem with Chris. He seems like an alright sort of bloke and his vids have been the life-blood of this thread, although walking out the toilet of "t'Rovers" is stretching the "Actor" thing a bit

So does anyone foresee a scenario where the ground is completed but further delayed to next season, for the sense of occasion upon opening?

I struggle to believe Levy would turn down gate receipts and associated income whilst paying for Wembley and I’d like to think the potential benefit to the team itself does enter his head too. Personally / selfishly I’d rather it open at 50% capacity with no booze on sale and a staggered post game leaving arrangement just to get in before the end of the season.

However in terms of PR and marketing, it could be seen that the stadium can only be launched once and the fanfare that could go with a pre season build up, glamour friendlies, players and fans ha if a couple of games to acclimatise before a likely lower league opponent to start the season, behind the scenes doco’s and extra finishing and testing to make sure everything is perfect might be seen as a tangible benefit of a further delay.
