Eat, drink and be merry at the new White Hart Lane

Tottenham Hotspur fans who took part in the first familiarisation event at the club’s new stadium in December were wowed by the way the beer was served from bottom to top.

Spurs have partnered with Bottoms Up Beer, so that a pint can be served hands free with magnets placed at the bottom of special plastic cups that fill from the bottom and automatically stop at the brim.

But once the novelty of the new system – which claims to serve 69 pints in one minute – has worn off, supporters will be even more pleased with the prices inside Tottenham’s new home.

A pint will cost fans £4, which is cheap by London prices. It can be hard to find a pub serving beer for anything less than £5, so Spurs hope that fans will choose to drink inside the new stadium, rather than flooding in late from the local pubs and bars.

It is not just the drinks that are competitively priced, as pies have been priced as low as £3.50, cheaper than most rival grounds in the capital.

Other than that traditional fare, Tottenham fans will also be able to buy fish and chips, gourmet burgers, pizza and Chinese food inside the new stadium.

Spurs are yet to confirm when they will move to the new White Hart Lane, but have stated a commitment to eliminate the use of plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery and all disposable packing which usually accompanies such items.

With the club now putting the finishing touches to the new stadium, some fans at the familiarisation event noticed that there would not be enough space for players to be able to take a corner due to the slope at the side of the pitch.

But Tottenham have addressed the issue and re-sized the dimensions around the pitch to allow players more room to be able to take corner kicks

If they've resized the pitch, that means the stands are further back from the goal again. Damnit.
 
If does! £4 a pint is an absolute bargain, as the article says simply by "regular" standards let alone venue/football standards.

If youre local youd go there for a drink any time instead of the boozer!

Could be a real genius move by Levy.
