Another good game from him today. When he suddenly sprinted forwards and nicked the ball ahead of the defender and jinked past the keeper with tidy touch I genuinely thought "YES NO YES NO YESESSSS! FINALLY! He's gonna do it, he's gonna slot the ball into the empty... oh it's Wanyama, that explains it!!"

Genuinely, if you wanted to buy that now - based on this seasons performances - a bid of £30m would get you laughed out of the room and the door slammed in your face.

Really imagine trying to buy him now for £30m. Hilarious thought.

Peps at home wondering how he's going to stop him in the next two games.
    Sissoko to wreck city's quadruple.

I said in the OMT he's getting a bit Viera like. Dominates central midfield. Not in a defensive midfielder way as he does a bit of everything. Snuffing out, breaking play up, helping out team mates, filling in, linking play, powering forward, running the channels, assisting, taking no sh.it, and he's not that young at 29 but can run all day, his fitness levels are phenomenal.

He's gonna go close in the Spurs POTY

His surges forward are getting pretty effective too. His passing has even been, dare I say it, accurate in recent games.

The run back to cover when we let them dink one over the top was brilliant.

Crowd sang his name quite a few times, really is the most amazing player turnaround I have ever seen.

I find the most pleasing thing is to see how his confidence has grown as the season has gone on, he now wants the ball, gets in position were he can get it and his team mates now look for him now rather than other options as their belief in him has also grown.
