Excellent today, sidestepped a few challenges, physical in defence and hit a few decent cross field passes. He’s very measured in his passing, as in he’s concentrating super hard and better players than him get sucked into those shooooot chants (Wanyama for example!). I’m struggling to think of such a wholesale improvement from a player.

Absolutely love him, first name on the team sheet as far as I’m concerned.

We looked much better at the back the times he was filling in at RB.

You're claiming that as a pass?!

It was a hoof out - a decent one, but a clearing hoof all the same

I think you're spot on. EVERY good thing that Sissoko does is accidental.

Not everything. I liked his little feint right, spin left he did in the second half. Unfortunately he then ran 15yds and Sissokod all over the place.

Trippier must pray that he never gets injured.

    Thought he was great today
Played with a pomp and swagger of a player very high in confidence

Who's this Roberts idiot? Surely someone who has never topuched a ball in his life.

Sissoko top class?? Doesn't he know a Forrest Gump when he sees one??

He's taken over from lamela as the surprising grafter. Popping up at all the right places to make enough impact on the opponents and the game. Theres more to expect from him too, including goals.

With Lamela he is meant to be a creative force

While Trippier was again found wanting. I really think we should play Dier in the RB role. Would make us so much more solid.

Wonder if we will offer him a new contract now he is in his 3rd season at the club.

Ha, you’ll love irony of this but I disagree! I agree that we need to find a solution to the Tripps issue, but Dier in that slot for me only works as an emergency in a 4. But Tripps is an issue. He owes Sissoko a fair few dinners at this point. More than any player, the World Cup has seriously thrown him.

Isn’t it part of sissokos job to cover for Trippier when he goes forward as instructed by Poch?

That is your bias speaking. He clearly directed that towards Son. He knew that Son was positioned there to keep some Leicester players back. Probably something worked on in training.

It's also Trippier's job to get back into position as quickly as possible. Something he fails to do time and time again. If it were Walker or even Aurier, Sissoko doesn't need to cover as much. It's a full time occupation when Trippier plays.

It is but when it’s onbteb counter he will always get caught out

I’m not trippers biggest fan, and think we need a better player there but I saw him come back yesterday from being high up but also saw sissoko clean up before trips got back. Their both doing the job they have been asked to do IMO
