Most shocking or gruesome TV/Movie deaths

DHSF

Les Ferdinand
I wont spoil the GoT episode but it did make me think of the most shocking, gruesome or worst TV/Movie deaths I have ever seen.

The one that made me cringe was American History X with the whole foot stomping on the pavement

What is yours?

gonna be hard to avoid spoilers here i think

The Sopranos :

Tony suffocating his nephew Chris whilst he was stuck in the drivers seat of the crashed car - not gruesome but definitely a  moment

Bob Hoskins glassing that chap from Casualty in The Long Good Friday I found pretty graphic. I was just a youngster then though.

Irreversible.

It's horrible, especially reading the Monica Bellucci discussion in the film thread and not being able to think of her without this film popping in my head.

I bought it before seeing it and actually gave it away to someone who hadn't seen it (the assoc. editor of Total Film as it happens!) telling her that it is a film that people *should* watch. But only once.

I'm talking about the fire extinguisher scene in relation to this thread btw.

This (the fire extinguisher). Just horrible. That rape-scene was one of the worst scenes I've ever seen on screen.

American History X-stomping too. I still feel that in my jaw just by thinking about it.

Dobberman - the guy who's head gets pressed against the asphalt during the car chase.

I know DHSF and Chich probably enjoyed the first part of this but......

The kid getting bummed in the greenhouse in scum and topping himself?

Gaspar Noe…yes…ugly...

The bottle scene in Pan's Labyrinth. For some reason I just can't watch that.

And another is in Saving Private Ryan where the two soldiers are having a knife fight. The sudden desperation of the American where he realises he can't stop the other guys knife is very powerful. Great directing.

Also, some of the deaths in Hannibal are a little gruesome

I agree re Hannibal however its rarely as graphic as the GoT one last night. In Hannibal you more often than not see the end result which is gruesome but actually I applaud them because Hannibal is so inventive in his murdering haha

The bit in Casino when Joe Pesci pops the guys eye out in the vice. and the end bit where him and his brother are murdered and buried alive. Horribly realistic

That doesn't sound realistic at all.
