He ’our manager’ is not my favourite person ATM, he has lost the plot of late but I'm hoping for some sanity from now on

It's easy to be wise after the event. If I remember correctly, he said that they called him mini Messi on the training pitch. A more balanced player may have got a boost from it but either way, it was just an off the cuff, positive comment in a presser.

Hopefully Poch has learned from that mistake. As with hindsight it’s turned into a rather nasty gaffe. It’s not like he didn’t know the players character traits.
