    Definitely!
We know he bombed out GKN last year to Burnley because he wasn't listening / paying attention fully, joking about, not focused, headphones on for the warmup, not supporting his colleagues, not watching... I'm quite surprised GKN has been getting this second chance.
And we know Edwards has ALL the talent but not the attitude off the pitch, nor tracking back attitude on the pitch.

Fergie had a nice balance in that squad, there actually were not all kids, just a talented few. I'd be more than happy to go with the current squad and some of our kids.
My only concern would be civer for kane

Or he could be one of many who excelled at his age group but never stepped up... we shall see

I love how he was so keen, that his first act in senior football was to try and tackle the player giving the ball back to us!

Great to see another academy debut

I was really pleased when Poch saw sense and sent the lamppost back to the bench and called for Amos.

The last thing we needed was a lamppost on half way, we needed a terrier and got him, the game fizzled out nicely once Dembele and Amos came on.

I think it was only Dier’s cramp that caused Poch to change his substitution.

Yep. I thought he was about to try to give Harry a well deserved rest and also give Llorente some minutes. Which made sense.

But good to see Amos on when Dier pulled Up

Amos looked so chuffed at the final whistle. I know I would have been. Good for him. Whom needs Grealish?

Watching the game today, I think it’s becoming clearer that his ‘thing’, his standout quality, may well be that engine, and it’s may well make the Kante comparisons pretty apt. You could see in pre season he was getting a lot of interceptions, but also pressing at the front (almost scoring by closing down a defender right in front of the goal) and today, towards the end when we were breaking, it was him trying to get into the box. He’s almost quite literally everywhere, and it’s great to see.

We may well have a player here. Someone comfortable on the ball without being flashy, but someone with a ridiculous engine who will never stop running. And someone tactically aware from all the positional shunting in the youth teams - it’s meant he’s taken longer to break through but he could well be a player. Early days but I’m rooting for him big time.

He looked nervous, he looked like a kid getting his debut, and it was at a time in the game it wasnt clear what his job really was.

That said, always great to get another one off the production line. Hopefully he grows into a role in the squad this season.

Given that he was all over the field, that sounds about right!

Agreed and I think he showed BIG balls to hang and work hard to help us over the line. He is going to be a player!

Poch is brave like this. With Winks and Onomah too in the past he'll put them on for the last 5-10 minutes when we're defending a narrow lead. There's no 3 goals up already mince arounds

    Well done young man.
Best bit of the game was poch bringing Dembele over when Luke came on, look after each other seemed to be the message.

Maybe that was his message to DL, be brave and trust the kids.
