Next time you're in conversation with Liverpool fans, remind them of this bit of history. Liverpool finished second in 88-89, won the league in 89-90, finished second in 90-91 and plummeted into a 30 wait for their next league title.

It's happening again. Second to City in 18-19, champions in 19-20, and now this dismal season to, hopefully, set off another 30 years of futility.

So when do we all get banned from Europe because their fans are feral clams?

Anyone hear the rumours about Klopp resigning?
He's the favourite with bookies to be the next manager to go.

I think this is pathetic TBH.

I get tired of it. Half the clams who go on and on about them and Hillborough and Heysel aren't old enough to remember either. I'll bet the vast majority have no idea what an old-school SF Hillsborough crush is like. Some of us do, and it is fudging scary. Some of us also realize we were lucky, that in '81 they let us onto the pitch during the first-half. Fortunately I'd learned my lesson at QPR away earlier in the competition and was not near those fences. What I had conveniently forgotten/erased from memory, was how some of ours then charged the other end at HT. Lovely. Not a drop of alcohol among them I'm sure.

It's so easy to slag them off based on a few, but it's really just flimflam IMO.

Regardless of Hillborough, which I do think events/reaction do not paint them in a good light, they are a cult of victims that never make the right choice and always have an excuse. The example of the entire team wearing t-shirts to back Suarez is the perfect example.

Top down culture in that club is just dislikeable, and the fact that the media gives them a complete free ride just adds to it.

No, sorry. Wrong. That's just a modern fan's perspective.
Below is a 2 min clip showing the Hillsborough I was at (again thankfully not near the surges). The police did the right thing that day. Lives were saved. Our supporters were, IMO, not to blame. I don't think the ones who decided to try and run the other end are "glorious", in fact I think they're tossers. All this gonad*s about "Liverpool fans shouldn't have arrived tight to time or drunk" is exactly that; gonad*s.

Here -for those who don't know and weren't there- is our Hillsborough. There but for the grace of something go many of ours...

I was there in that crowd as well mate and it was awful and quite a lot of that went on in those days, however some Liverpool fans are scum and what happened on that day to them was shocking but to pretend they do not have history for causing problem around their games is just not true. And as you know i am old enough to have been around and going in those days.

It certainly was, and it did mate. As mentioned, QPR in there 3rd round terrified me!

You'd need to detail that for me mate. I don't think they have any worse a history than any club TBH. Been there 9 times total and each time, win/lose/draw I have had a great time and been treated well. If you're referring to Heysel, we know the real story...
