Let's make levy sweat

It does have a say in it yes, but add in a winning m entality ( which our team has not had for a while) and that added gives them a edge.
This tiresome “Winning mentality” is utter gonad*s. It’s pundit speak! You win, draw or lose.

The key to allowing Levy the room to make mistakes is if he acts to rectify them soon enough - make that change at the end of the season and appoint someone that has obviously been scouted out over the last couple of months then you can say fair enough, mistake was made - it happens let's not dwell on it.

Otherwise you have to question what his thought process is.

He's had 20 years of room to learn from his mistakes yet keeps making them. In 50 years time the same defense will be laid at his feet. [emoji28]

Far bigger and richer clubs than us get things wrong in the short term and suffer set backs as a result - each of the other top 6 clubs have gotten manager appointments wrong and have regressed/dropped out of the top 4 at times - difference is we're the only ones that have been hamstrung financially because of a stadium build in this period.

The sad part is local football ticket buyers (or tv subscribers) who actually think they are relevant in anyway to club finances or have leverage.

Spell it out again

- Compete against a population of ~60M for clients with 100+ other clubs or for 8B people with a much smaller subset (e.g. the Superleague)
- Fill the seats with "real supporters" who bitch endlessly about ticket prices, kit colours, manager choices, etc. or fill it with casuals and corporates who are just happy to be there and spend some cash

You really think a season with matches against Barca/Madrid/Milan/etc. is going to be a tough sell?

its brilliant for Levy.
Spurs in London is a great detour for tourists and corporate entertainment. that and global broadcast rights would dwarf local fans' season ticket prices.
Also it means its easier for us to attract better players and coaches now, making the business even more competitive while we will never be relegated !
