Will he get game time at Crystal Palace? Who is their current Right back?

This season seems to be Joel Ward, with Kelly deputising / rotating in. Ward's been there for 6 years and was a mainstay before Wan-Bissaka, but he's 30 now so may be on the decline.

Not sure I can see KWP jumping straight into the starting XI, but I think he might get more starts than he would here.

He seemed very timid/shy whenever interviewed and it always struck me that he maybe needed a bit of toughening up, it's probably too late now but probably would have benefited from being sent out on loan several years ago.

Tend to agree. For the lads own sake he needs to settle somewhere he will actually get games.

Still dont really understand why he hasnt had a fair shake here.

Indeed, what with all the problems we’ve had at full back positions over recent years it’s mind boggling to think that KWP has been left to rot on the bench and only been given 1,482 minutes playing time over past 3 season

Rose was also 22 years old when he went on loan to Sunderland, so fingers crossed that KWP will also impress with some regular game time and return to become the successor to Kyle Walker we hoped he’d become.

Articles Ive seen since yesterday suggest we want a perm move. Though of course theres always the potential for buy back clauses.

Ive never been a particular supporter of KWP, I think he has the tools to be a good FB but I do think he has been too timid/passive in the appearances he has got.

While I understand it considering the complete lack of opportunity (as you show), I also think he needed to be bolder in those chances to really stake a claim.

That all being said, at this point, and over the last 2 seasons - I cannot fathom how he hasnt been given a fair crack at it.

For his own sake I think he needs to move on. And Palace is a very good move for him to make, IMO.

Would be great if he could get some regular game time there, and who knows, maybe he's the guy we need (though I doubt it)? :)

If not, should we make him change his name to “Kyle Naughton-Peters”?

He's an average player, I would be surprised if any top 10 team are coming for him

The difference with Rose at 22 is Rose already was on loan at Watford, Peterborough and Bristol City at that stage.
KWP is 23 in a few months and hasn't had a full season of football since he was 19.
That was the last time he was allowed to play youth football.

Consider how long it takes players to get match fit. KWP hasn't probably been match fit since that age with only a few minutes every month coming his way.
    His development has completely stagnated.
Yes people are saying he's only average. That's definitely all he can be now. The club failed him by not letting him play football, instead using him as a body in training.
