That away shirt looks like some of those late 80's / early 90's away kit shockers.

I was thinking of getting a few cheap knock-off kits for the kids (non spurs). Anybody know good websites they would recommend?

You can bet we will be the last team to have our kits on sale, same as every year.

I miss the seasons where we'd wear next years kit in our final league game of the season before.

I miss the seasons where we didn't change the kit every year.

With no sponsor or supplier change, we should hopefully see a new kit much earlier than usual (you'd think so anyway!)

As if......the sponsers log will change definately, they always do....but our policy on our kits is very strange, not being released till late july, our third kit not released till Sept then come xmas all kits get reduced by 10/20%,by March by half price, either Levy thinks we don't make much money out of them or our is just our way to maximum sales in a short period of time.

Our next contract has to be the biggest the club has had and must be with one of the big boys(they usually have a logo on the seats in one of the stands) perhaps things will improve then.

can someone explain to me how these kit deals are financially viable for companies. after a quick calculation in my head, it seems unrealistic that they could recoup the money via immediate merchandise sales. the same goes for shirt sponsorship deals. like samsung mobile. they would have to sell an additional 100,000 phones at £200 each per £20,000,000 sponsorship deal to break even.

is the value literally in getting the brand name out there and associated with a sporting organisation? and all the long term, indirect, intangible benefits that come from this
