Shame, I think we fudged that up. Bargain for Villarreal.

    Good luck to him.

    I agree on all three.

Villarreal could sell him at a profit this summer if they wanted.

He's also a defender that we could do with. Poch completely mismanaged him.

But it wasn't him who arranged the transfer or set the price. Hitchen and Levy probably.

I thought we were keen to move players on and refresh?

Always thought Foyth had potential and wanted to see him played more at right back. Poch was set to play him there I think and he got injured.

15m is fine. He wouldn’t have got the playing time or patience here (too many defensive mistakes). So good to sell and move on.

I think that it was the right thing to loan him out when it was clear that Mourinho wouldn't use him.

We should be keen to move the rubbish ones on. (Sissoko, Winks, Dier, Sanchez etc)

Foyth had some potential and his loan to Villarreal somewhat showed that. Far from guaranteed but there are host of players I would rather sell first.

At least it's 15m for the kitty.

Decent player - shame he didnt get another chance, but an acceptable fee

As others have said, there are higher priority player to shift

If the option was granted as part of the loan last season this has no bearing on the priority of his sale over others. I guess we’ll give the new man a chance to look at the rest of the squad before we see any other sales.

I'm not sure. I think he was all set to burst in as our first choice RB in 19/20, just like he's done for Villareal this season. His injury and Poch leaving unfortunately put pay to this.

I hope this isn't official anyway. He's by some distance the best RB we have.

Shame to see him go, never really had a chance with us, but that progress, need to move on players so we can get new ones in.

Damn, that's a pity. I'd have liked to see more of Foyth at Spurs, but it wasn't to be. Too error-prone to be a starting CB (which I thought was his preferred position), but I wonder what he'd have been like at RB. The loan's worked well for him, and I'd have bitten various arms off to get £15M for him a year ago. Watch him become the next great Argentinian defender now!

He still has a mistake in him (see last game he played)

Good not great player, time to move on, lets re-invest that money

Think it was nailed on once Villarreal secured CL football. All the best to him, shame it didn't work out here.

Good luck to him, maybe his fortune is away from here where he didn't have a consistent run of good form.

Does seem like a cheap price but we’ve often held on to players because we wanted the perfect price for them so I’m pleased that a deal has been agreed quickly and hasn’t dragged on. Good to luck to him, now let’s reinvest in some defenders because boy do we need some.
