If it's a loan, could we not sign him in 12 months for free as I presume player would still need to agree to perm transfer after the 12 months without paying conpensation?

Sky saying its a loan. So he can (in theory) just sign a contract with us now for 1 July 2018, and he's not disappearing into the wilderness at City for 10 months like would happen if he stayed.

Quite like it on his part of that is what he is doing. Going to Germany out of his comfort zone to learn a different style of play then come back to England and choose a team where he thinks he will get minutes.

Hope it is us but even if it is not good luck to the lad.
