Jadon Sancho

Gutter Boy

Tim Sherwood
Does this guy need his own thread, now it's looking quite likely and quite imminent.

Arguably the most highly-rated U19 player in the country. Seen as even better than Edwards. A quick, strong, highly-creative AM - just what the doctor ordered.

Downsides - apparently he moved away from London originally because he was caught up in gang issues, and he's effectively engineered a move from City by literally running away and not answering his phone

A coup by the sounds of it if he joins but plenty of promising players don't make the step up to senior football. Would he go into the matchday squad and get starts in the league cup this season? Or more than that?

He'll end up with his mate at Arse.

It's up to City who they sell to. We've apparently long had good relations at board level and the Walker deal was fairly cordial.

City's people with youth team contacts on BlueMoon seem convinced he's signing for us today.

Can he be a worse option off the bench than Sissoko?

He's physically mature. A rival to GKN at this point in time perhaps, but with a much higher ceiling.

That is amazing if true. Obviously you can't always tell with younger players, but he looks an incredible talent. If we have him and Edwards making good progressing then we've got a pretty exciting attacking lineup for years to come.

I don't necessarily think that a player would be too precious about joining the same club as a friend, especially when you consider the fact that the friend could themselves move on, either permanently or on loan. Remember also that players get a lot of time away from the training ground so have ample opportunity to socialise together.

If a young player is serious about his career and the financial opportunities are similar at both Spurs and Arsenal then I would imagine most English players would currently pick Spurs ahead of Arsenal due to the coaching excellence of Pochettino and the reputation he has of getting players into the England team.

Sancho looks more developed than Edwards by a way IMO

Yep I called it 4 months ago. I want this kid, Sessegnon and Brerton and then even if we lose todays top players then I think in 3 seasons time we would be back to the same level because we would have the next generation of excellent British talent.

Looked really good for the England youth team and I agree he seems at a more advanced stage then Edwards.

Who does Brerton play for and what position is he?

I think I saw a report that we are also interested in a 15 year old Centre forward at Crewe?

He is a striker, but a pure out and out scorer in the Linker mould that is what I would say his game is. A scorer like that a bit like a younger Kane is amazing, he actually has a better eye for a goal then Kane did at that age.

He is mobile as well a really hard working forward. The time to get him would have been before Forest got brought out and were selling players to stay afloat. Still might be able to do something on a buy and loan back type thing, know Poch says he has high hopes for Sterling but Brerton is already doing it in league football and was good for the England team in the summer.

IIRC Lineker and Alan Smith were very good mates (from youth days at Leicester days) whilst spearheading the rivals attacks.

King and Cashley too were old schoolboy pals from Bow too.
