I sort of miss some of the old ITK stuff. I remember a post on here about someone in touch with the Feyenord tea lady, who was ITK and who said Marc Von Bommel was about to sign for us. Now THAT was quality ITK! Utter nonsense of course, but just what one wants to amuse oneself during a slow afternoon's "work."
I fear that the revelations couple of years back where one of the ITKs came out and said it was all just a wind up and how he stitched his stories together made us doubt everyone and thereby killed some of the hilarious ITK attempts we used to see. Alas....
IIRC, Van Bommel did come close to signing for us, possibly under Jol?
Pretty sure he has talked about it in recent years.

Gomes and Suarez doing media rounds now. We were interested in a loan in the summer, with a view to transfer if successful. Barca wanted us to become obligated at circa 40m at the end of loan, and we were not keen on that. We inquired about Suarez very early on, but ‘no can do’ at the time.
I don’t believe there will be any movement this window, unless one of our targets becomes available for now.
Way things are, not going to be giving out names, more than I have already. But expect a big surprise signing in the summer of all goes to plan from abroad. No hints, so don’t ask for any please
Bale & Modric can be buried now, as wont happen! RM were doing their usual to get us to bait with HK. They are blatantly subtle (not) in the spin doctors they use to get information out.

Denis Suárez was born in Salceda de Caselas (Pontevedra) on 6 January, 1994. A player who represented Spain at youth level, Denis was always considered one of the brightest prospects in Spanish Football. After beginning his career with Celta Vigo, he decided to head for England at the age of 17, signing for Emirates Marketing Project. There, he played for the U19s and the U21s before eventually making his debut for the first team.
His excellent performances brought him to the attention of FC Barcelona and in 2013 he joined Barça B. In his only season with the team he scored 7 goals and claimed 11 assists in 36 appearances. Despite his impressive campaign, the Club decided that his development would be best served in the First Division and so in 2014/15 he was loaned out to Sevilla as part of the deal that brought Ivan Rakitic to Camp Nou.
After a season in Andalusia, Suárez moved to Villarreal in the summer of 2015 on a four year deal. FC Barcelona retained a buy back option on the player and after the midfielder’s outstanding year with the ‘Yellow Submarine’, the Club decided to exercise their right to re-sign the player, paying 3.25 million euros. Denis Suárez was officially unveiled as a Barça player on 6 July 2016 at Camp Nou.

what a load of brick if we don't strengthen this Jan others in the top 4 have and we are not even in the top 4 amazed Levy is prepared to not really push us to be in the CL when we enter the new stadium we are one injury to Kane or Eriksen of being left so short attacking wise Liverpool who we are trying to catch strengthened at the back and have Mane, Firmino, Salah, sturridge Lallana, Solanke and Ings without bringing anyone else in which Im sure they will I really thought he would have pushed the squad on to try and make sure we had a great chance of CL and the brand when selling naming rights etc
