Injury thread 19/20

Is sitting legs akimbo on a picnic bench, staring moodily into the middle distance, going to help his hip?

Haven't we got some horse placentas we can throw at it or something?

Has someone told Sessegnon the ball contains a baby chicken and he needs to keep it warm until it hatches?

Looks positive on that video, time to transfer that mood onto the pitch and kick start our season.

Just wanted to bump this thread to moan about our bad luck with injuries this season:

- First choice goalie/team captain out for three months.
- Main striker/top scorer/vice captain out for three months.
- Second top scorer/Asian player of the year out for three months.
- Midfield engine/last year's player of the season out for three months.
- First choice left back out for three months
- Two main summer signings almost immediately get injured.

Rant over.

Injuries aren’t really a matter of luck, though, are they? Fundamentally it’s about what players you buy, how you monitor them and how far you decide to push them. Risks and trade-offs and choices, not the cruelty of capricious fate.

Indeed... Klopp frequently gives his front 3 a breather at the end of games to bring on fresh legs, Emirates Marketing Project alternate between Aguero and Jesus, Leicester have Perez and Iheanacho to cover for Vardy, Chelsea have 3 full international forwards to choose from... meanwhile Kane and Son have been expected to play full 90 minutes of every match they’re fit until they pick up an (inevitable) injury and our the only cover appears to be a kid who only became old enough to get served in a pub a fortnight ago...

Wanyama has been perma-crocked for years and sadly just a matter of cutting our losses now whilst Dier and Winks only starting to regain sharpness following surgery, so Sissoko gets run into the ground instead; albeit Lo Celso’s injury whilst on international duty was unfortunate.

Depends on the injury... contact injuries you cannot plan for and we have lost son and Hugo to them long term
Kane pulled a muscle so that’s a muscular injury and there is an argument around amount of game time etc....

Don't kill my rant with reason, you bastard!
