Very fair point. Hugo did okay today but, it's testament to the defence and team, he didn't need to be any more than okay.

Love the guy for what he's given the club and think he's unfairly criticised a lot of the time but today wasn't one of his best games because it didn't need to be.

Yep , big difference to the lazt few seasons where he has been horribly exposed.

If he stays injury free and we have a good cup run or three, he might make the top ten all time appearance list this season. Hugo currently has 374 games for us, with Phil Beal on 420 in 10th place (according to Wikipedia).

He is as dodgy as hell for crosses and deliveries but his shot stopping and coming off the line has always been world class. I suspect he would not have been beaten if he was playing on Thursday.

He was in his early days, but it is now far from world class and he is glued to his line. Since his injury he seems afraid to come out.
