If he had scored all those, Argentina would have won the World Cup and Copa America twice ! It is unbelievable that he still gets selected for his country despite all those crucial misses !

Absolutely. Can't believe people are blaming this on Messi. Higuain is the real bottler. Heartbroken after tonight. Really thought argie was the best team of the tournament and deserved the win.

Of course people are blaming it on Messi, he did fudge all (other than dive and get someone sent off) and he missed a penalty (not quite the same as open play chances Higuaín missed).

Argentina lost (in my opinion) because

- They got caught up in the emotion and a lot of the game was too much about heavy tackles, leaving a foot in vs. trying to play.
- Messi did not contribute/lead
- Coach took way too long to bring on Aquero & Lamela (made impact when he came on)

If you really look at Argetina's failures over the last decade (in a side with Messi, Aquero, Marcherano, Tevez, Di Maria and list goes on) and blame Higuaín? you are missing the mark by a long way ...
