Grealish

You never know what he will come back like after his ACL. Look at Jay Rodriguez - it took him about 4 years to get back to near the level he was performing at before.

Some Villa fans think that Maddison going for what he did will see them somehow extort more from us for Grealish because they reckon he's the better player. Maddison carried Norwich, Grealish did not carry Villa. Maddison will be worth double his price tag today in a couple of years.

SPURS WAITING ON GREALISH

Tottenham are set to keep Aston Villa sweating over Jack Grealish's future as they bid to exploit their cash woes, according to the Daily Mirror.

Villa are resigned to losing Grealish given their financial struggles under owner Dr Tony Xia, and with the club needing to raise funds, Spurs are not rushing to table a bid.

The Championship club were hoping to recoup up to £40m for the talented youngster but Tottenham may wait to see if Villa manage to pay all their staff on June 29 before making a swoop

So when there are rumours that we have made a low bid, we are exploiting Villa.
When it transpires that we have not yet tabled a bid, we are exploiting Villa.

I think I should try this journalism malarky.

Not seen too much of Grealish but seen more of him in the press for the wrong reasons. Looks like a little Bell, same mould as Wheelchair, imagine London as his playground.

You sound a lot like people in the US did 10 years ago when they were buying brickhole houses in brickhole areas and filling them with granite work surfaces.
If you flipped a load and knew when to get out could have bought you a few mansions outright that way.

REDS ENTER GREALISH RACE

The Sun claims Liverpool have entered the race to sign Aston Villamidfielder Jack Grealish, with Tottenham owner Daniel Levy reportedly unwilling to pay more than £20m for the Englishman.

That has alerted the Reds, the paper says, who could be tempted to steal a march on their rivals by offering closer to Villa's £40m value.

Sounds like a satisfactory resolution

For a bargain price, below 20m, there’s little downside, should easily be able to move him on for similar next year if he doesn’t pull up any trees with us.

Why not buy someone good instead though? We know what happens to N'jies, N'Koudous and N'Grealishs. We are much better filling these lower squad players with academy graduates instead, and saving our money for big hitters.
