Model the historic data from proxy scores on SC. If you have time, compare their scores with ours for months where complete comparable rankings exist, and then work out the weightings to apply retrospectively to the missing data at a per-player level. Should only take a few days, and the weighting model would be of some interest.

Surely we should do it as a percentage per match rather than number of votes? Otherwise whoever gets Man of the Match on the day we win the title will win player of the season no matter how well he has played for the rest of the year.
