Fergie: Retired, Moyes: Sacked, LVG/Giggs: The New Super Duo

Re: Fergie: Officially Retiring - Moyes Taking Over, Now Sacked!

Moyes' first league game in charge ended 4-0, against a better side.

I wonder if Utd (Ferguson) might fancy Joachim Loew, much less confrontational than LvG, and bar the odd weird result has done well with the German national team, plus he has age on his side. At 100-1 I'm tempted as an outside bet.

SSN say United now looking at other candidates closely

If you watch/read the game of thrones series this little parody is quite amusing, if you don't then most of this will be lost on you. It does seem to sum up the Man UTD manager saga at the moment what with them looking everywhere but only taking LVG by default of no one else wanting the job.

Confirmed: Ryan Giggs retires from playing

He'll be LVG's assistant from next season.

Yes I think they might displace the gooners next year. van Gaal won't be as good as he was in the past but he'll have money to spend and van Persie will actually play for him.

The interesting subplot will be Rooney. He will hate being second best. Might be put on the bench alot. *gets popcorn*

thats Utd back in the top 4

You think ? They could just as easily finish 7th again. There is massive work to be done here. I also think forcing LVG to have Giggs as his number 2 just spells trouble. A few bad results and who's name will the fans be chanting ?

only 150m to spend in the summer though, bearing in mind they need a new defence, a new midfield and probably another forward i can't see them challenging city and chelsea for a while

Man Utd, Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all have managers now that we're involved with Barcelona between 97-00

Interesting...so it seems that Ryan Giggs effectively vetoed the transfer of Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona before he joined Bayern, because he "was not a United type of player"...

I guess it makes sense now why Mata was not in Giggs' starting line-up for his first game Vs Norwich; weren't there rumbles before and after Mata joined Manure that he "wasn't a United type of player" :-k
