I didn't see this any where else so apologies if it has already been posted. It's from the Fighting C*ck.

Like I've said before, f@ck the Top Four! For me it's about trophies now and also going back to the Tottenham Way, I feel ashamed that I ever doubted it, that I sometimes posted stuff that defended AVB's kill joy football and talked about how it 'held us back'. I was wrong, the Tottenham Way is what makes us the great club that we are, and even if doesn't make us great it's still who we are and we shouldn't just accept that but embrace it.

    We Are Tottenham.

    Good post.

I can almost hear Roger Lloyd-Pack narrating that clip they play at the Lane sometimes. We are Hoddle,Ardiles, etc; you know the one

Good article. Not entirely dissimilar to my feelings on the matter.

But I'd add one further required element for me to start feeling the love fully again..............can we have a bit of decent atmosphere back at the Lane, please?

The silence and / or negativity of the past 3-4 seasons is what gets to me (and probably the players) more than anything else. My love for Spurs can (and has) survive(d) poor teams, big losses and even dreadful football. The kryptonite that kills it is the appalling attitude of so many Spurs fans who routinely fill the Lane these days. They're either too shy to sing or too wrapped up in their risible sense of entitlement to do anything other than moan and boo and start arguments with other Spurs fans.

Give me a great atmosphere among people who just want to sing for the shirt regardless, and I'm happy.

My feeling are similar too. I don't think we can get top 4 and don't really care either. I want to enjoy watching my team again and not feel that every time we play someone above us in the league that we are going to get smashed.

If I was offered 6th place and a real chance of winning the Europa League or FA Cup then I would be delighted. Winning the League cup would be great as well but I would want us to push the top 4 hard if that was our trophy chance considering the lack of impact on the league season it should have after Christmas.

Either way, 5th/6th and a cup win would delight me more than 4th tbh.

I don't have the 'Tottenham Way' love. I think it's something Spurs fans have clung onto during the **** years. We certainly didn't play the 'Tottenham way' when I was growing up, watching players like Stefen Iversen, Ruel Fox, Moussa Saib etc.

This is the video I watch to get excited.

should never have fallen out of love in the first place. i haven't. highs and lows but always spurs. its love with poch now but he'll go in time, and we will still get better.

i'm of the opposite camp preferring consistent CL rather than a trophy.... trophies are a by product of consistent CL participation because you get better extra CL revenue, more fans and merchandising revenue worldwide, and helps you strengthen a team.

glad i supported spurs and glad that levy is chairman. don't mind the 2 steps back if we went 3 steps forwards in the first place - its still one step in the right direction. we'll get there. we just need to keep the faith.

can't wait for the new era with the new stadium.

Whoa. It was serious. I completely didn't recognize him! Unfortunately I've never seen a young Jimmy, only a few pictures, and older Jimmy on telly in recent years. I can't help being 22 ;) Thank you though!

I hope in another 50 years I can answer some kid's question about who Robbie Keane or such is ;)

    Thank Jimmyb

The first time I heard that pre-match. NLD 2 seasons IIRC, I said the same thing to the missus. Goosebumps time every time I hear the line To dare is to do.
    Love it

Ok that's got me back. I renewed as I honestly can't see me ever not renewing, it's just I do seem to lose the love every week. But I guess my life would be pretty dull without footy, as much as I love to say id have a great life without it, it'd be pretty boring!

Yeh im going to be less of a moany biatch and support us this year! I'm so annoyed though I might be missing the Liverpool game as got a stag do that weekend in Brighton, is that our first or 2nd home game?

I went to about 6 or 7 games last year, which is truly shocking!
