Europa League 20/21

LASK winning in Antwerp. Although it means we now top the group, I am not sure whether that is a good result for us

LASK were so poor versus us..and we were so poor versus Antwerp

Yep. So LASK roll Antwerp over away. Makes perfect sense.

And only had 10 men for the last 25 mins

We will, but another 6 points might not be enough to win the group, which would be preferable.

You also have the scenario where, if the top 3 beat Ludogorets again, we beat Antwerp at home. lose at LASK, and Antwerp win at LASK next week. We all finish on 12pts.

Somebody could get 12pts and not qualify, that wold be barmy

Us and AC are the only big teams in it. UEFA will just use some historical qualification method to ensure we go through.

I would not rule Arsenal out of running, they reached the final 2 years ago, they are decent in cups. Leciester won't be a pushover either

We have to (should ) beat Ludogorets next. The small downside is that is the final nail for Ludogorets, hence totally uninterested in their final 2 games.

Antwerp winning would have been better as it keeps LASK well behind and as long as we matched Antwerp in our next 2 games would have a chance to top the group in our clash with them in the last game.

All on 6 though, leaves little room for a slip up.

It's so annoying that we played like we did in Antwerp
With our ridiculous December (8 games) we could have done with winning the first 4 games then could have played the last 2 with kids and proper ressies
Now we have to have a decent squad for pretty much all 6 games

So, EL picks up Shakhtar, Olympiacos, Ajax, Krasnodar, Kyiv, ManU, RB Schmaltsburg, and Brugge.

Not a massive upgrade on the level of quality in the knockouts. But would prefer to miss the Ukrainian and Russian sides.

Inter finished last in their group. Narf! Conte had a face like thunder at the end. Eriksen looked truly sad. Had a great crack on goal in the 92nd goal and drove it straight at the goalie.

I knew it wasn't happening this season, but didn't UEFA say years ago that the CL drop-ins was going to stop, when is that actually happening?

Villarreal - Qarabag postponed as the away team didn't have enough players due to several positive covid test results. The teams would have finished top and bottom respectively regardless of the result, so will probably just be cancelled.
