Eric Dier

His injuries and illness led to his form dropping off a cliff and he was rightly dropped. Now he's getting back to that form that got him into the England team he should be getting into England squads again.
Do you really consider Maguire, Stones or Mings as better options? They all have big mistakes in them and Dier has been a lot better than any of those three this season.
Stones hardly gets a look in at City, Maguire is rubbish and Mings has had some horror shows this season.
Stones has had some shockers too.

Could not agree more, he has a awful 18 months with illness which led to TWO operations but he now seems to be fitter and over those problems.

CB is a problematic position for the England team. None of those you mentioned are world class. Dier has been good this season. It’s his first good season since about 2017/18.

Need him for his leadership and organisation more than anything else, players all over the place today and mid-week with nobody communicating.

That combined with more ability on the ball makes him a pretty easy inclusion when fit again. Hopefully back soon.

Yeah, our PL form nosedived around the same time as Dembele left and whilst he was on his last legs that season it might’ve been worthwhile keeping Moussa around a little longer if only to see if he could’ve been a mentor for Ndombele and help Tanguy acclimatise.

He was done IMO, we should have moved him on sooner if anything.

Yeah, if Levy had purchased a replacement in the summer of 2018 that would’ve been ideal but as we didn’t recruit anyone whatsoever in that window then we might as well have (made the best of a bad situation and) just of kept Demebele around to see if he could help Pochettino bring the new recruits up to speed; as losing out on his £5m transfer fee is peanuts compared to the £130m outlay on Ndombele + Lo Celso + Sessegnon and missing out on CL football for these past 3 seasons.
