He's been a very good passer for us for a long time - by far the best of the DM options. Especially with the more difficult passes.

I don't have xGchain figures for them all but I'm pretty sure he'd come out of it very well.

He's been a very good passer for us for a long time - by far the best of the DM options. Especially with the more difficult passes.

Like Dele I didn't think they had great starts to the beginning of the season but are now starting to really play well

I agree, i have never liked goalkeepers as captains and for me Dier should be the next in line for the job.

So reportedly a Vardy groin injury kept him from taking a penalty, and Dier immediately volunteered to step in. That's says a lot about the lad.

He didn't play very well, and his penalty could easily have been saved, Ospina touched it... but huge props to him for stepping up and taking it, balls of steel.

I think at the end he was expecting everyone to run to him and mob him, but they all ran to the keeper!

Yes he did. Unfortunately as per the twitter clip I posted on the previous page, he timed it wrongly and jumped into mid-air. Fortunately his strike for the penalty, and Pickford’s trajectory for the preceding save, were more accurate than his celebratory leap!
