Eric Dier

It dipped but more importantly swerved right into dele in a sixpence, taking two defenders out with the flight of the ball

From the Dier interview posted a page back. I loved reading this, especially after the third goal yesterday:

People don’t see it, but it’s the way Dele plays without the ball, presses people, gets the ball back and runs after lost causes. That’s the beauty of Dele as much as the goals, the tricks and the nutmegs.”

Not like you to use a one off example to support your argument, rather than statistics over a longer period of time ;)
He's been a very good passer for us for a long time - by far the best of the DM options. Especially with the more difficult passes.

I don't have xGchain figures for them all but I'm pretty sure he'd come out of it very well.

Any professional footballer can kick a ball and make it go where they want under no pressure, iirc

All my non Spurs pals on my chat saying how crap he is etc
So glad he scored the winning penalty
Bloke is another leader !!!

He didn't play very well, and his penalty could easily have been saved, Ospina touched it... but huge props to him for stepping up and taking it, balls of steel.

I think at the end he was expecting everyone to run to him and mob him, but they all ran to the keeper!

I’m pretty sure Dier ran right to the keeper himself....
