My stem cell therapy seemed to have helped my medical symptoms but the other day I had my first trembling in my left side. Ended up shaking pretty bad and my specialist said it was not the Parkinson's but anxiety.

So yeah I got anxiety and as much as I do breathing exercises and work out I can't get rid of this fcuking anxiety and shaking.

We all need the summer - and even a bit of normality.

Sorry to hear this mate...I'll spare you the typical advice unless you'd like some of the things which work for me. If so, PM me mate.

I don’t think there is one person who’s mental health hasn’t been affected one way or another this winter. It’s been a long lockdown over the hardest months.

    Psychosomatic.

Treat yourself well. Find ways to coax and build yourself up. Exercise, gardening, putting in place some routine....?

I don't generally post anything serious in here, but my dad's whole world was gardening. Sadly his mental health problems meant he missed the payments on his allotment, and now he's lost the plot.

Could he not have spoken to the council and asked for some help considering everything that has happened. How about asking them if they could put him in touch with others who might want to share a plot or need some help on theirs. Also some places round our way have places you can volunteer at, one of the wife's work friends lost her husband a couple of years ago and she volunteers at Wakehurst just to get out the house.

My brother in laws father volunteers for the national trust walking countryside paths and reporting back the state of the pathways. Lots of ways to help him out and get back into nature.

I would have thought the number would have been higher

One in five adults experiences depression during second peak

About one in five adults in Great Britain experienced some form of depression during the second peak of coronavirus in early 2021, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The figure is a rise from November 2020 - when 19% experienced depressive symptoms - and double that seen before the pandemic - when it was 10%.

Younger adults and women have been the group most likely to experience some form of depression, with more than 40% of women aged 16-29 affected. This compares with 26% of men of the same age.

Separate data shows a near 30% drop in diagnoses of depression by GPs in England during the first half of the pandemic, between March and August 2020, compared to 2019. However, these cases now make up a larger percentage of overall diagnoses than they did before the pandemic.

The ONS says it is possible patients who went to their GP about depression during the pandemic only got a diagnosis at a later point, which might not have been included in this data
