Danny Rose

Very good last night up against a tricky player, i thought he allowed the kid too much space at times but thankfully we never got punished for it.

Very brave header at the death. He had time to think, and still stuck his head in.

MOTM against Fulham. Dynamic, bold, solid and fiesty as ever. Gave that fudger Mitrovic what for.

Really rediscovered himself, great to have the option of he and Davies but on this form he's first choice.

I thought he played well enough, but as ever found myself questioning if there was actually any end product to his game.

Dynamic - meaningless. Bold - what does this mean exactly?

Solid - yes, for the most part he defended well. Feisty - yes, he has an aggressive nature.

But then what?

The answer usually is "Oh he gave their full back something to think about".....

...except, when most of his crosses are terrible, and his dribbles amount to little, the only thing he really does is offload it to Alli.

Something Davies does in the same positions all the time. With a more accurate cross as well.

But he doesnt run around with his little legs going 100mph so isnt "dynamic" or "bold" or "giving them something to think about"...

I like Rose, but I honestly wonder if Im watching the same player as the rest of you sometimes.

He is a very decent LB, but he is most certainly not world class, and is barely an asset going forward.

Davies delivers good crosses "all the time"? Really? He rarely picks out anyone with his crosses.

Davies picks out Alli from those positions all the time.

His crosses are more accurate.

Two separate statements.

Been a while since I looked at the stats, but as it was Davies crosses less frequently but with greater accuracy/success.

And I think when you watch it becomes obvious. Rose bombs down and blindly crosses to nobody all the time, thats if his dribble/run doesnt result in a turnover.

Davies works the ball more, plays more 1-2s etc until he can put in a cross of more value.
